Learn and discuss the many different ways to step in and speak up to help others in difficult situations. In this introduction to the highly effective "Bystander Intervention" method, you will gain skills and knowledge to create a positive culture of inclusivity, mutual support, and personal empowerment in your workplace and communities.

  • Recognizing early and subtle warning signs of assault, harassment, and discrimination

  • What to do and say to safely and compassionately intervene

  • Best practices and resources for proactively creating safe and inclusive cultures

THE SPEAKER

Corielle Heath Laaspere is the founder and President of liftUPlift Worldwide, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to creating safe and inclusive communities through bystander intervention. Corielle has over 13 years of experience working with companies and communities to help prevent assault, harassment and abuse, and she has trained over 10,000 Bystander Intervention Allies.

Through liftUPlift, Corielle has championed social justice and women’s rights with several notable organizations including the United Nations, Irish Centre for Human Rights, and Women for Women International. She is especially proud to serve as an envoy of the U.S. State Department working to prevent violence against women in Russia and South America.

Corielle holds degrees in Sociology, Psychology and Global Studies from Lehigh University, where she also became a certified sexual violence prevention Educator and Advocate. Corielle earned her M.A. in Strategic Public Relations at the University of Southern California.
